Delhi demolition: AAP MLA arrested for obstructing DDA’s anti-occupation drive.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kuldeep Kumar was arrested on Wednesday on charges of obstructing a demolition operation conducted by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), police said. The AAP MLA from Kondli (East) started protesting the vandalism operation when he reached the spot in Khichripur area of ​​Kalyanpuri, they said.

No immediate response was received from the DDA. On Wednesday, a bulldozer came to evict illegal establishments in Khichripur area. “We have arrested AAP MLA Kuldeep Kumar for obstructing the demolition operation which started around 12 noon,” said a senior police officer. He further added that adequate police arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the demolition operation.

“We are here to ensure the safety and security of a sufficient number of government agencies who are conducting the destruction operation. Our responsibility is to maintain law and order and ensure that no untoward incidents occur during the drive, ”the officer said.

In the last one month, a series of anti-occupation campaigns were carried out by three civic organizations of Delhi in different parts of the city including Shahinbagh, Jahangirpuri, Madanpur Khadar, New Friends Colony, Mangolpuri, Rohini, Gokulpuri, Lodhi. Colony, Rithala, Janakpuri, Hari Nagar and Kheyal.
