Google has announced Android Auto Makeover, launching new features

Technology giant Google has announced a set of new features, including a split-screen mode with an updated user interface for its automated application ‘Android Auto’. The update will allow users to access the web directly on their car’s display.
Currently, Android Auto has a huge user base of over 150 million users worldwide, which has been adopted by almost every global car manufacturer.
The company said in a statement: “As we work to add more capabilities to cars with Google ‘built-in’ in the future, you can not only browse the web directly from your car’s display, but also cast your own content ৷ from your phone to the car screen. This summer, Android Auto will launch a brand new interface that will help you get directions faster, control your media more easily and get more functionality at your fingertips. ”
After adding the Youtube app to cars with Google’s built-in, the company announced that more video-streaming apps, including Tubi and Epix Now, will be available on Android Auto.
The statement added, “In addition to using your voice, you can now send instant messages and call favorite contacts with just one tap, and reply to messages by selecting only one suggested response on the screen.”
Additionally, in the list of newly-added functionalities, the split-screen feature will eliminate the need to scroll through the list of applications and enable the user to do multi-tasking. For example, use navigation and media at the same time.
