According to the mobile device industry body ICEA, India has the potential to increase its growing laptop and tablet production capacity to Rs 7 trillion by 2025 through policy interventions.

Increasing laptop and tablet PC production could take India’s share of the global market from 1 per cent to 26 per cent at present.

In addition, it will create 5 lakh new jobs and lead to a growing inflow of Rs 5.5 lakh crore in foreign exchange and investment of over Rs 7,300 crore by 2025.
