India aims to increase its stake in electronics GVC by 10%: Rajiv Chandrasekhar

Inaugurating a manufacturing facility for audible, wearable and IoT devices in Noida on Tuesday, State Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Rajiv Chandrasekhar said the government aims to increase India’s share in electronics GVCs to 10 per cent.
Rajiv Chandrasekhar added, “For the last 5 years, the Prime Minister has been focusing heavily on building our domestic capacity in the electronics sector. He hailed it as an incredible growth opportunity for Indian manufacturers before the epidemic and that opportunity has multiplied in the last two years. India is expected to contribute about 400 400 billion worth of electronics goods, including 120 120 billion worth of exports, which would be 9-10% of the overall global value chain from a 1-2% chance of current supply. ”
Rahul Sharma, co-founder of Bangalore-based Jetwork, said, “This is a unique scalable model that has the potential to effectively disrupt Chinese manufacturers by meeting the export requirements of the industry around the world.”
The facility inaugurated by the Minister is Jettown India Pvt. Ltd. of Jetwork Company, which covers an area of 50,000 sq. Ft. And has an innovative lab for developing 16 production lines and products with advanced testers in the factory. Jettown India Pvt. Ltd. is an ODM of the audible and wearable space in India that focuses on design and manufacturing services in the broader IoT domain with single-point comprehensive product lifecycle support. It has teams dedicated to research and development, design, sourcing, assembly and testing
“Aspirations have been reset and we need more companies like Jetwork to make this vision a reality. Their models can be unique and easily scalable. I congratulate Jetwork for this. They can play an important role in achieving our goal of making India a significant player in the electronics GVC, ”added Minister Chandrasekhar.
