The social drama starring Ranbir Singh and Shalini Pandey has recorded less than the expected number in the first weekend of Jayeshbhai Jordar. The film grossed Rs 3.95-4.15 crore on the third day of its release. This took the film’s collection to Rs 11.30 crore in its first weekend.
The Ranbir Singh-starrer grossed a total of Rs 3.25 crore on its release day (May 13). The film has grossed Rs 9.87 crore worldwide so far. The night show of the film has been canceled in several places due to lack of enthusiasm for the film, media reports have suggested.
The film received mixed reactions from viewers and critics alike. While some have backed the film for Ranbir Singh’s performance, others have called it a snoozefest that lacked any comedy or element.
However, it is not Ranbir Singh’s picture that has entered the box office with low opening numbers. Singh’s first film band Baja Barat grossed Rs 95 lakh at the box office on its first day, making it its worst gross in 1 day. Her next film, Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl, grossed Rs 4.74 crore on its opening day. The Vikramaditya Motwane-directed Looters, starring Singh and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles, earned Rs 5.15 crore on its first day.
