Jet Airways successfully operates proven flights; Waiting for AOC:

Jet Airways has successfully operated all certified flights and is now awaiting Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the aviation regulator DGCA, its owner Jalan-Kalrak Consortium said on Tuesday.

The airline operated two sets of certified flights on Tuesday – the second – and the last – with 31 people on board, including officials from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), sources said.

The carrier conducted the first set of three proven flights with 18 people on board of DGCA officials on Sunday, they said.
Proving the flight is the last step for the airline to get AOC. The aircraft must make a total of five landings (five flights) to successfully complete the proven flights.

In a statement on Tuesday, a spokesman for the Jalan-Kalrak consortium said, “We have successfully operated our proven flight in two days and we are now awaiting the grant of AOC by DGCA.” On Tuesday, two certified flight carriers were operated on the Delhi-Hyderabad and Hyderabad-Delhi routes using Boeing 737 aircraft, sources said.

The three proven flights operated on Sunday were on the Delhi-Mumbai, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad-Delhi route using the same aircraft, they noted.
Jet Airways conducted its test flight from Hyderabad on May 5 in one step of getting AOC.

The airline in the old incarnation was owned by Naresh Goyal and it operated its last flight on April 17, 2019. The Jalan-Kalrak Consortium is currently the promoter of Jet Airways.

The airline plans to resume commercial flights in the July-September quarter of this year.
