Mayawati has come out in support of Azam Khan, accusing the UP government of targeting her

In one tweet after another, the BSP president said, “In Uttar Pradesh and other BJP-ruled states, like the Congress, the way in which the poor, dalits, tribals and Muslims are being harassed and intimidated is very sad. There are. ”
Speaking on behalf of Khan, the BSP president said, “In this series, the UP government has continued to take hateful and terrorist (eg) action against its opponents and keep senior MLA Mohammad Azam Khan in jail for almost two and a half years. In the eyes of the people, what happens if justice is not done? ”
Khan, a senior SP leader and Rampur MLA, is currently in jail on multiple charges, including corruption. He has been lodged in Sitapur Jail for more than two years.
To his great relief, the Allahabad High Court on Wednesday granted bail to Khan in a case of illegal possession of enemy property.
Former state minister Khan has been granted bail in six of the 69 cases. He will be released from jail only if bail is granted in the last case.
Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has also condemned the anti-government crackdown in some parts of the country, including the national capital.
“The hostile attitude in many states of the country, the way in which migrants and working people are being intimidated and terrorized in the name of occupation and their livelihoods are being taken away, raises many questions and is a matter of concern,” he added.
