Merrill Lynch Fund has offloaded shares of HDFC Bank for Rs 51 crore

Merrill Lynch India Equities Fund Mauritius Ltd on Tuesday offloaded 3.86 lakh shares of private lender HDFC Bank in an open market transaction worth about Rs 51 crore.

Merrill Lynch sold 3,86,658 shares at an average price of Rs 1,306.15, taking its turnover to Rs 50.50 crore, according to the Block Deal data available with the BSE.

BlackRock Global Funds India Fund raised the same amount of shares at the same price.

Shares of HDFC Bank rose 0.69 per cent to close at Rs 1,314.05 on the BSE.

In a separate transaction, PMK Holdings Pvt Ltd sold about 4 lakh shares of technology company Signity Technologies Limited worth Rs 14.30 crore through open market transactions.

According to data from a bulk deal with the National Stock Exchange (NSE), PMK Holdings sold 3,99,184 shares of Signity Technologies at an average price of Rs 358.36 per piece, with a turnover of Rs 14.30 crore.

Mithun Chand bought 1.45 lakh shares of Chennamaneni IT firm at Rs 345.59 per share.

Shares of Signity Technologies fell 8.68 percent to close at Rs 382 on the NSE.
