Rishikesh Music Festival will be held from 14 to 15 May; Musical instruments here

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, renowned music artists from Kailash Kher to the Indian Jam Project will participate in a two-day music festival to be held in Rishikesh between May 14 and 15. Sangeet Natak Academy, Uttarakhand Tourism and Kutani Handpan Academy are jointly organizing this edition. The annual concert will be inaugurated by State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami among others.
The event will promote Rishikesh in the foothills of the Himalayas as a world-renowned music education and music production center known for its yoga and adventure, as well as showcasing and documenting the city’s vague cultural heritage.
Artists who will perform at the music festival include Kailash Kher, Rudra Veena artist Bahauddin Dagar, Handpan artist Baba Kutani, Fusion Band Indian Jam Project and singer Surya Gayatri. Shehnai artists Sanjeev and Ashwini Shankar, Baul singer Mahadev Das Baul and many other nationally and internationally renowned artists.
The two-day event will be held daily in two shifts: the morning session will be held at Parmarth Niketan and will start at 5:30 am and end at 12 noon and the evening session will be held at Purnananda Ground from 5 pm. Until 9 p.m.
The vent will include Veda chanting, Shehnai performance, Acharya Bhuvan Chandra’s yoga session, Handpan drum circle session workshop, band performance, Heritage walk at Beatles Ashram and Ganga Aarti.
Admission to the event is free and open to all.
