The Mundka building caught fire during an inspirational program on the 2nd floor:

An inspirational event was taking place on the second floor of a building in Mundka when a huge fire broke out and a large number of people gathered to attend the event, police said.
Fire service officials said the highest number of burnt bodies was recovered from the second floor of the building.
According to the FIR filed in the case, “On Friday, around 4 pm, an inspirational program was organized for all the employees and they gathered on the second floor of the building.”
The FIR states that police received information about the fire at 4.45 pm and 100 to 150 people were trapped inside.
Police arrived at the spot and found that a fire had broken out in Mundka village on the premises of 193, opposite the main Rohtak Road, Pillar 544, and some people had broken their glasses and fled from the second floor of the building, the FIR said.
The building had a basement and four floors. There was a residential flat on the fourth floor. Fire tenders arrived at the scene and started extinguishing the fire, it said.
During the investigation, it was found that the building was owned by Manish Lakra, who lives on the fourth floor of the building, it said.
There was a shop on the ground floor of the building. A company called Coffee Impex Pvt. Ltd. was running on the first, second and third floors of the building. The owners of the company are Harish Goyal and Varun Goyal.
The company had about 100 employees, including about 50 women, who worked from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., it says.
When the fire broke out, many people came out of the building with broken front glass, but when the fire spread to the area, some people were trapped inside. According to the FIR, there was heavy smoke and fire inside the building and it has only one exit gate.
When the fire was brought under control, police and fire service personnel entered the building and took the bodies to the hospital from the second floor.
The building has only one entrance and exit gate, police said.
According to the local investigation, the owner of the building is Sushila Lakra, his son Manish Lakra and his wife Sunita Lakra. Harish and Varun rented the property for business, police said.
According to DCP Sameer Sharma, an FIR has been registered against the owners of the CCTV camera packaging unit under sections 304 (criminal murder is not the amount of murder), 308 (attempted criminal murder), 120 (concealment of a design to commit). Offenses punishable by imprisonment) and 34 (general purpose) of the Indian Penal Code.
