The world’s largest solar park is about to be launched in Rajasthan

Race experts on Tuesday said it would launch the world’s largest solar park in Rajasthan with a capacity of 3000 MWp.

A 9000 acre solar park will be set up in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

It has signed the necessary transmission agreement and received all the approvals for it, a company statement said.

It is the first and only 100 percent privately owned Ultra Mega Solar Park in the country connected to the central transmission system, it said.

Other major solar parks built in the past are partially or wholly owned by the government. The company claims to be the largest solar park developer in India.

The solar park will be a ready-to-move infrastructure for multiple solar developers who can save huge costs and time as they already have land, transmission lines, etc. arranged.

Currently, the availability of transmission power in the network is the biggest open risk for solar developers and this solar park provides much the same solution.

Due to market presence, Race Experts holds 100 per cent market share of private solar park projects in Rajasthan and Haryana with 95 per cent customer retention ratio.

Rahul Gupta’s MD and CEO said, “It is amazing to see how the Indian renewable energy industry has progressed in the last few years. To achieve the target of 300 gigawatts by 2030, we are doing some of our work.” At the current tariff level, projects with only low return expectations can survive, and project risk reduction can only help reduce return expectations, he opined.
