UGC Terminal has extended the thesis submission date for MPhil and PhD students

The University Grants Commission has extended the thesis submission date for Terminal M Phil and PhD students for six months after June 30, 2022, the commission said in an official notification.

According to the notification, augmentation will be provided by higher education institutions on a case-by-case basis based on the recommendations of the research advisory committee reviewing and supervising the work of the students and the head of each individual department. Case

In the wake of the UGC Public Notice dated December 1, 2021, and in the wider interest of research scholars, the UGC has decided to extend this to six months after the 30th. In June, 2022, the Student Advisory Committee reviewed the work of the students and on the recommendation of the supervisor and the head of the department, the case may be awarded to the students by their respective higher education institutions on a case-by-case basis. Each is a separate case, ”the commission said.

It further added that such extensions could also be granted for submission of evidence of publication and presentation at the two conferences. However, the term of the fellowship will be up to five years only, the commission has notified.
